How did you first hear about CREW Portland?
Have known about it for years, always enjoyed CREW's programming, and embarrassingly feel out of membership due to time constraints of having young kids.
What motivated you to join CREW Portland?
Meet Inspiring People, Be a Voice for Women in Commercial Real Estate, The biggest reason that I have joined at this time is that I can't think of a better platform from which to educate ourselves about white privilege, white supremacy, and anti-racism work. Being a group of mostly white women in a male-dominated industry, we are in a unique position to see and articulate the impact of white privilege, and build a model for our industry that can educate, and work towards change.
How did you get here?
I started doing east side mom & pop retail leasing in 2005, and have since evolved my business to include urban and suburban leasing and sales, as well as public sector consulting. I have worked at Urban Works and Kidder Mathews, and now serve as Principal Broker for Commercial Realty Advisors NW.
Tell us something we didn't know about you?
I grew up in Vermont and left for the Pacific Northwest right after college. I have been hear ever since, and couldn't be more proud that althought I am still a transplant, my kids are native Oregonians!
If you could describe yourself in three words what would they be?
Talkative | Thoughtful | Busy
Favorite Travel Destination?
Anywhere but the inside of my house at this point! I love to camp, so thankfully we can still do that.
What is one goal you would like to achieve through CREW?
Network and work with people who want to build a more inclusive CRE industry.
