How did you first hear about CREW Portland?
I first heard about it from my dad, who works at Wyse REA, and invited me to attend a luncheon. I learned more about it from Rae Nomura, who also is at Appraisal & Consulting Group, LLC.

Business Development | Career Advancement | Meet People | Volunteer | Be a Voice in CRE
How did you get here?
I did economics research in college on Transferable Development Rights and after graduation had a public policy internship. Both areas were very interesting to me, but not quite right as a career. I went on to work as a running store manager and training group coordinator, before I realized that I wanted a more analytical job. I was able to meet with professionals in a variety of fields during this time, to learn more about what I might want to pursue, including appraisal. I thought it sounded like a good fit and had the opportunity to work part-time for a few months before deciding to move full-time into the appraisal field. Now, I have the appraiser assistant's license and am hoping to get my certified general license later in 2019.
