How did you first hear about CREW Portland?

A friend recommended CREW Portland to me as a way to reach out and meet my contemporaries in various sectors of the real estate industry.

What motivated you to join CREW Portland?

Networking, Business Development, Meet Inspiring People, Volunteer, Be a voice for women in Commercial Real Estate. I love the idea of connecting with others and growing relationships with those in the real estate industry. I'm excited to hear success stories, share knowledge, and create networks both within CREW Portland and throughout our community.

How did you get here?

About twenty years ago, as a newly single mother, I decided to quit bartending and "get a day job," so I did. What began with personal lending soon evolved to private client advising and eventually morphed to commercial insurance and risk management. What a slippery slope! I've found that I truly enjoy helping individuals and entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and goals- and I'm not shy about enjoying a beverage with like-minded folks either.

Tell us something we didn't know about you?

Well, now you know that I was a bartender in a prior life, but I'll confess to other endeavors as well. You may have been one of my Uber passengers when I was rated best driver in Portland two years running. Or maybe you know me from farther back, commercial fishing and radio dj'ing in Southeast Alaska? Perhaps we studied biochemistry together? I am a Jill of All Trades and lucky to say I have learned from some of the most hard-working and brightest individuals across a myriad of industries. I will tell you stories for days and look forward to hearing yours as well.

If you could describe yourself in three words what would they be?

Sincere. Practical. Nerdy. (I'm laughing with you!)

Favorite Travel Destination?

Tough question here, where do I NOT like to travel? I'm all for the relaxing tropical ocean getaway or the mountainside backpacking weekend. The outdoors is a passion of mine but I love busy cities too. The easiest answer is to say my favorite destination is anywhere abroad.

What is one goal you would like to achieve through CREW?

Outside of connecting with others, there is a personal goal I've set for 2023 that perhaps can be partly achieved through CREW membership. My goal this year is to increase my volunteering activities and to give back more to the community. I am actively looking for groups and individuals to engage with, who share this same purpose and intention.
