How did you get here?
I was encouraged by my high school mentors to pursue an engineering degree because of my affinity for math and science, but as I neared completion of my Bachelors in Architectural Engineering I knew I'd be happiest in a role that was closer to the action than a traditional engineer would be. I was able to intern for a general contractor the summer before by senior year and fell in love with construction. Truebeck needed new talent to begin building out its Portland office, and I was happy to relocate from Texas for an opportunity to grow a business from the early stages. Now I work on a mostly female preconstruction team providing seamless cost and logistics solutions from the earliest design concept to a project's ground-breaking.
Tell us something we didn't know about you?
When I moved to Portland in the summer of 2020, I lived in a coliving community for almost 2 years. Since then I've seen a few projects in early design phases exploring housing models with more shared living space, and I've found my experience to be helpful in estimating costs associated with the construction and maintenance of this type of property.
