Advancing the Success of Women in Commercial Real Estate
Company: Killian Pacific
How did you first hear about CREW Portland?
What motivated you to join CREW Portland?
Networking, Career Advancement, Meet Inspiring People, Be a voice for women in Commercial Real Estate. I wanted to plug into networking opportunities and find areas for positive impact in my community and industry.
How did you get here?
Studied Urban Planning/Sustainable Urban Development, Community Development, and Art in undergrad at PSU. I graduated in the middle of the recession and quickly pivoted to marketing/experiential events out of necessity during a turbulent time.
I had a career doing marketing for outdoor and lifestyle fashion brands, started working to agencies, and eventually went freelance as a photographer, stylist, art director, and set designer. Eventually, I was hired by an old contact of mine at KP to be a "creative manager" which has turned into Brand Management, Comms, Social Impact, and various other roles at Killian Pacific. That is the short version ;)
Tell us something we didn't know about you?
I am an AVID costume person that LOVES parties (pre-babies ha!). I have been to Burning Man and many other festivals where I love to create other worlds through costumes, sets, and setting up a vision of fun and inclusivity. I like thinking outside the box and fueling creativity for everyone to have a good time!
