Company Launch Announcement – Bridge Economic Development

January 21, 2019

Bridge Economic Development, LLC is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) economic development consulting firm that has recently launched. We work with cities, counties and regional organizations to deliver actionable steps to grow an economy that serves the entire community. Setting us apart from other firms is ten years of combined experience of working within a regional economic development organization and managing a municipal economic development department.  We have first-hand knowledge of available tools and the barriers that each organization must overcome to implement a successful strategy across multiple partners.

We work with our clients to understand their competitive strengths through rigorous data analysis that serves as the critical foundation of a community strategy and story. We then provide unique recommendations for near and long-term actions to grow and scale distinct economies. Bridge understands that growing a community’s economic base ultimately means attracting private investment. Our 35 years of combined experience in real estate and economic development, makes us uniquely qualified to provide the insights that are meaningful to businesses and developers. We translate this understanding into actionable recommendations that result in positive and sustainable change.

Alisa Pyszka, President and Founder of Bridge Economic Development, is a member of the Portland CREW Programs Committee.  She served as the VP of Recruitment for Greater Portland Inc, (GPI) a regional nonprofit economic development organization that provides support and services to companies seeking to relocate or expand in the greater Portland area. Prior to her role at GPI, Alisa served as the Manager of Economic Development at the City of Vancouver, Washington.  There she developed the skills to work across multiple agencies to implement important infrastructure projects, craft new small business programs and initiatives, and resolve permitting inefficiencies to encourage private investment. Her real estate experience is grounded in eight years of entitlement project management for national retailers and regional commercial developers with Cardno (formerly WRG Design).
