How did you first hear about CREW Portland?

Angela Sheehan, 2019 CREW Portland President, invited me to explore CREW. My first event was CorksCREW and the women and men were so welcoming that I knew this was the right organization for me.

What motivated you to join CREW Portland?

Networking, Business Development, Career Advancement, Meet Inspiring People, Volunteer, Be a voice for women in Commercial Real Estate. I could see that CREW Portland would provide an opportunity to make meaningful connections to build my network and opportunities for professional and personal growth. What I wasn't expecting was to find friendships and to be inspired so often by those I meet.

How did you get here?

I immediately joined the Programs Committee and rolled up my sleeves. I supported the women that had a vision for a program by interviewing potential speakers, coordinating the collaboration and drafting the marketing content. I transitioned to Director of Programs and am serving the second year of a two-year term on the Board of Directors.

Tell us something we didn't know about you?

On the weekends, I often drive from my home in Dundee to the T&E General Store in Yamhill. It's an inspiring drive for someone from Houston and how I hit the reset button.

What is one goal you would like to achieve through CREW?

I met the goals that I set for my membership in 2019 and 2020. I am looking to the future and making a new list! For those looking to join or take advantage of your current membership, I encourage you to explore the numerous committee roles. That's where things happen.
